Mascots Race for Hope 2018

The Schmidt Investment Group Launch their Global Social Impact Platform – Expand Hope

The Schmidt Investment Group publicly launched their Global Social Impact Platform, the Expand Hope Foundation, on May 12, 2018 through the first ever Mascots Race for Hope.

The Mascots Race for Hope gave the communities of Edmonton, Sherwood Park and the surrounding areas the opportunity to cheer on those that are used to doing the cheering – their mascots! The Schmidt Investment Group hosted mascots from professional sports teams, businesses, municipalities, schools and not-for-profit organizations as they went head-to-head in an exilerating race to the finish. Ultimately Izzy the Eagle from Kings University in Edmonton took the top spot on the podium, while Griff from Grant MacEwan finished in a close second, with Titan from Fort Christian High School coming in third place. Other honourable mentions were Lionel from Boston Pizza, Bee from Lafarge Canada and the ever engaging Hunter and Punter from the Edmonton Oilers and Edmonton Eskimos respectively.

A very special thank you to Summit Valve / SlurryFlo for the incredible fundraising efforts and commitment to changing 1,000s of lives.
